My friend, Lorene and I had a great time diving with AAA this past week- The CREW was wonderful! and the DIVING was wonderful! Thanks so much for running such a great dive operation and for being located in Hawaii where you get to see Sea Turtles on every DIVE! How fun!!!!!

Lorene - Sep 11, 2007

Hi Lacy!

Just wanted to drop a quick line and say how much we
enjoyed diving with AAA diving last week. My best to
you, Alex and and the entire crew!

The reason for this message is that I wish to especially commend both
Capt. Chris, who was exceptionally helpful in helping me refresh my memory on diving tasks, and OW Instructor Chris, who was the perfect
choice for my situation. She was instrumental in making my dive successful and encouraging. Altho' I did not do a second dive because I felt too tired (I had hardly slept the night before, wondering if I'd even be able to get into the water . . .), I felt comfortable and accomplished. Tell Instr. Chris for me that I'll try to remember NOT TO KICK SO MUCH!!!

My next trip to Honolulu, I will definitely dive with AAA.

Just returned back home from Oahu and wanted to thank you again for a great dive trip. I really enjoyed the three dives this past Sunday and the tips on carrying too much weight!! This was only my 13th dive after becoming certified and my second boat dive and I am still learning. Thanks for all the help!!

Karen - Los Angeles, July 7, 2007

I just wanted to say that I had a great time diving and getting
certified at AAA Diving. I'll be recommending AAA to any friends who
are interested in scuba diving or will be in the area.

Cindi and Tim - June 24, 2007

We were really impressed with your operation. Ed was fabulous - turned this Nervous Nellie inside out. We will recommend AAA Diving to anyone coming this way! Just wish we could clear the schedule for more diving while here! :(

Mary - May 28 2007

Just wanted to say thanks for the great dives on Saturday. I didn't
dive at all on Sunday, because it would have meant I couldn't skydive
today. But I'll be back - and when I am, I'm definitely diving with
you. I'll post something on my local board in LA, too, recommending
you to anyone who travels to Oahu.

Bobbi & JD - Jan 29 2007

Trip Report: Oahu w/AAA Diving 11/26-12/1

We just returned from Oahu where we dove 6 days with AAA Diving. I chose AAA diving as they offered a variety of discounts, had an excellent website, presented a very good 'no-bull' approach to diving, responded quickly to emails and responded immediately to my phone call. I wanted a small operator who didn't have snorkelers on board, was knowledgeable about the dive sites and who could take us to a wide variety of sites.... click here to see the rest of the post

Thank you for a wonderful dive experience. I had just recently finished advanced training and was my first hawaii dive. Phenomenal! Alex is all that he says on his web site. No group bigger than 6 (ours was 4) and even though i did not go with a partner, I immediately befriended a new dive buddy and we had a blast. I have been a cow herded onto a boat with 200 people and been kicked in the head on other tours for snorkel/dive trips and this is certainly the trip to take on oahu. Now if Alex and chris would just go to the other islands....

I just got back from doing my 3 day PADI AOW certification with AAA. The boat had ample room for gear and divers, refreshments, hotel pickup was on-time and EASY, and the staff are very friendly.

Plenty of bottom time - we were never rushed. On the Sunday 3 tank dive, we dove to our no-decompression limit via the computers, giving us much more bottom time than my dive tables would have allowed. Most of the other dive boats were already taking their customers back to shore (shorter dives) before we even came up.

We did several wreck dives, as well as reef dives. Saw several moray eels, small purple nudibranchs, the rare monk-seal, tons o' turtles, spotted eagle rays, lobster, octopus, a pod of porpoises (from the boat), and lots of fish and coral.

Before going to Oahu, I checked out several dive operator's websites. I'm glad I read AAAs website because you do get what you pay for with them.

Hi Lexy, please feel free to add these comments to your website.

Today's dives were everything I had hoped for and a lot more! Alex is a wealth of knowledgeable and has an amazing, if not a little whacky at times, sense of humour which certainly livened up the surface intervals! The boat was outstanding and a pleasure to dive from, fully rigged, well skippered, 36 ft dive boat, what more could you ask for! You may find a cheaper charter, but you sure won't find a better one. I figured, I'm on vacation why take the chance of having a bad diving experience.. I had researched numerous companies over the internet prior to arriving on Oahu and I'm glad I chose Alex and his crew of AAA Diving Co!

As for the dive sights....until today, I had only dived cold waters of Western Canada (Vancouver Island) so everything I saw today was new to me. I was like a kid in a candy store, not sure where to look first. Besides millions of fish, we saw spotted manta rays, a white tip shark, turtles, moray eels and a rare sighting of a monk seal too. We even served as entertainment for the tourists riding the submarines!

Overall it was an amazing day and I will keep my memories with me for many years to come! Thank you to Lexy, Chris and Alex for making today a very special day!!

A big thumbs up to Alex, Matt, and Capt. Christopher for helping my wife and I complete our AOW certs in one of the most beautiful places on earth this past weekend.

I have to say that it was an awesome experience having what amounted to almost a private charter (5 divers + 1 instructor and 1 divemaster on the boat for two days). Gotta love having a 36' boat and not being jammed in like sardines..... click here to read the rest of the thread

I've dove several times with Alex at AAA Diving on Oahu. I cannot reccomend them enough!

Just a quick note to say that the diving yesterday was just as advertised! No rush, no cattle boats, just great diving and guiding, great equipment and individualized attention. I'd do it again, and recommend you.

Prior to traveling to Oahu, our dive shop referred us to AAA Diving. After diving with Alex, Chris, and Kirsten this week, we already have and will continue to refer our friends to AAA. The entire group was so fun, helpful, attentive, and understanding of the needs and safety of new, rusty, and advanced divers a like. Even though we were strangers when they picked us up at the hotel, by the end of the day, we felt like we were just diving with a great group of friends on our own private boat. As a result, our 2 day dive trip quickly turned into 4 (limited only by the fact that we had to return home). Honestly, the best dives that we had ever been on occurred after Alex "twisted our arm" into doing the 3 tank Sunday (it didn't take much twisting and definitely paid off). We dove 2 ship wrecks and a pipeline and saw hundreds of beautiful, varied fish. Besides the excitement of exploring the wrecks, we saw as many as 4 porcupine fish swimming together, a young reef shark hiding under the pipe, several huge turtles (one chilling out at a cleaning station), several spotted eagle rays, several large and tiny eels, a submarine, an octopus that took a liking to Mark's arm, and last but not least, right as we were about to surface from our safety stop..... a huge manta ray about 8-10 feet across!!! It was simply amazing! They couldn't shut me up as I was jumping around the boat in excitement!!! Two days later, a large group of dolphins were riding the bow wake. So, Alex and his team changed my pre-conceived impression of Oahu diving and we are now devoted AAA divers and look forward to another trip with our new friends!!! We hope that you take our advice and do the same. It will pay off and you will enjoy the trip. Tricia & Mark

Dived with AAA in October 2003 on my way to Truk. No problem at all with their organisation. I heard since then Alex has bought a hard boat I believe, so there could be better dives on offer. Be sure to get his tee-shirt! What it says on the back is too true, but all good-natured fun. I would dive with AAA again. Seadeuce

I couldn't have made a better decision going with AAA Diving! I'm a some-what new diver and Alex & Chris were AWESOME and VERY understanding and patient with me! AAA Diving is well worth the $$ and your not having to share the boat with other instuctors or divers! Thanks so much! Mahalo!

ScubaBoard 3/28/3006:
Very stress-free, Alex was very entertaining, and the boat is way bigger than it looks in the photos. We had a quality experience all around. It was about $10 per person more and worth every penny.

I hate being on cattle boats where you have to dive with a DM, and essentially be hand-held all the way to climbing back on the boat with 1800 psi because "it's time", or, the rototiller in the group is low on gas.

AAA was the exact opposite of that kind of boat diving. Alex gave us a quick appraisal, looked at our cards and logbooks, and we were on our own. Here's where the cool stuff is to look at, be back on the boat with gas and time left on the computer, absolutely zero pressure to move it along. A true breath of fresh air.

I'm not sure how AAA is perceived by the local dive community (in part because of this page, What Scuba Dive operators don't want you to know, but we had a safe, exceptional time .... James from Nevada

AAA Diving they're the ones to call if you want to dive on oahu. ...Blair from Los Angeles

... I had dives scheduled with Alex from AAA Diving on Sept. 29th.... I have to say, he's a honorable man... I originally talked with him in July and got info./prices... Then we talked in Sept. after gas went sky high and he honored the original prices he had quoted me... I respect that... Another great thing is that he has his own boat... so your not competing for space on a dive boat that several other dive shops have also booked...

.... Saw so many fishes I couldn't keep track... Chris went with us on the first dive and we saw a turtle sleeping on a reef and took us to see him... He woke up with a look of "what, what da want".. Quite funny... Lot's of reefs to look at...Now my bottom time was only 29 min. which is poor for me but I was so excited, I was a major air hog...I couldn't get over all I was seeing....

I had a blast... I really enjoyed my dive buddy... and Alex, is a hoot... He's British with a crazy, wacky sense of humor but I loved it... I'm sure some aren't sure how to take him but I have a good sense of humor, have friends that are British and gave it right back.... Much to his amazement... I guess I look meek.... Can't imagine that but ok.... So we got along well...... But more importantly, he's very into safety & being careful... The overall best thing is I felt safe with him.... To me that's crucial... And he's very involved with PADI regarding education....
So I highly recommend AAA diving when in Oahu....
